Fluro colours, retro sports gear and plenty of team spirit filled the oval for our Year 4-12 Athletics Carnival!
With students embracing this year’s retro dress-up theme, the day was packed with colour, laughter and enthusiastic participation as students ran, jumped, threw, cheered and earned points for their houses.
Our Athletics Carnival gives our talented athletes the chance to shine but Graceview Carnivals are for everyone. We love seeing students step up to the starting line, put the skills they’ve developed in PE into action and have a go, whatever their level of athletic ability.
Sometimes that means competing for a top place and sometimes it's about the joy of joining in and scoring house points. That spirit could be seen across the day, with students encouraging their friends, celebrating each other’s efforts and getting involved to earn points for their house.
Sport has a wonderful way of teaching lessons that extend beyond the field. We want our students to know that they don’t have to be the best at something for their contribution to matter. There is so much value in showing up, encouraging others and being part of something together.
Our 2026 Year 4-12 Athletics Carnival was a brilliant celebration of courage, participation, community and fun. A big thank you to our staff and parents who helped make the day possible, and to everyone who helped create such a fantastic carnival atmosphere.
