Year 7 & 8 are the "taster years" where students get to try all subjects. This experience helps students discover their strengths, interests and joys, and start to consider careers and pathways.
The move into Year 7 is a significant milestone, and one that young people are genuinely ready for. At this stage, students are eager to explore new interests, take on greater responsibility, and begin shaping their own routines and independence. It is an exciting season of growth. Our Year 7 cohort program is designed to be both stretching and supportive, with students entering their first year in our Challenge Program. Students are encouraged to give new things a try, grow in confidence, and develop strong habits for learning, all within a caring and connected environment where they are known and guided every step of the way.
Year 8 is a year of building strength. Students find their stride and start to push themselves further, take greater responsibility, and learn that progress comes through perseverance. With consistent academic challenge, supportive relationships, and intentional character development through our Challenge Program, students grow in resilience, maturity, and confidence as they continue discovering their purpose.
