Discovering God's story and our place within it
Biblical Studies is a core part of every student's education at Graceview from Early Learning to Year 12.
Through Biblical Studies, students explore God’s Word, ask thoughtful questions, and discover how faith shapes the way they live, learn and lead.
Our goal is for students to develop a personal understanding of Scripture, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and build a faith that is authentic, thoughtful, and lived out with compassion and purpose.
Encounter
Graceview uses Encounter Curriculum, an engaging and age-appropriate Biblical Studies program that guides students through the Bible from the early years through to secondary school.
Encounter explores the overarching story of Scripture while encouraging students to wrestle with life's big questions, develop biblical understanding, and apply God's Word to everyday life. Lessons combine biblical teaching, discussion, reflection, practical application and prayer, helping students connect faith with real life.
In Primary, students have Encounter Bible studies four days a week, with Chapel held once a week. Older Primary students also have the opportunity to join an additional Bible Study group each week.
In Secondary, students have Encounter twice a week and Chapel once a week, with the option to join an additional Bible Study group each week.
This regular rhythm of Bible learning, worship and discipleship helps students grow in their understanding of God’s Word and discover how faith shapes everyday life.
Faith that shapes life
Biblical Studies helps students connect their learning, relationships and choices with a growing understanding of God’s Word.
Students are encouraged to live out what they learn through worship, prayer, service, leadership and everyday relationships. These opportunities help students grow in character, deepen their faith, and discover how they can make a meaningful difference in the world.
