Our ANZAC Day Chapel provided a meaningful opportunity for our College community to pause, reflect and honour the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have served our nation.

We were privileged to welcome Mr Doug Henderson OAM, Vietnam Veteran, founder of the Kokoda Youth Foundation and Kokoda Challenge, who shared stories from his own life and service. Through his experiences, students were encouraged to reflect on courage, resilience, sacrifice and the quiet acts of heroism that often go unseen.

Beyond remembering history, the service invited students to consider the values that continue to shape our lives today. As a Christian school, we believe remembrance is not only about looking back, but also about reflecting on the character and sacrificial love we are called to live out each day.

"Remembrance is important because it allows you to sit with significance. It reminds us of a sacrificial love, like that shown by Christ, inviting us to live through the lens of that life." - Mrs Burrett, Graceview Chaplain

Our students participated thoughtfully throughout the service, taking time to remember those who have served, those who continue to serve, and the freedoms their sacrifice has helped secure.

We thank Mr Doug Henderson OAM for sharing his story and inspiring our students to reflect on lives marked by courage, service and selfless sacrifice.

Lest we forget.
